About us

Our club was founded in the Fall 2016 in Rapid City, South Dakota. 

We were an independent Aikido dojo until in 2019, I decided to join Aikido Shimbokukai organization.

We have been practicing on the 2nd floor of the Canyon Lake Activity Center since 2016. However, when the weather is permitting, we've also been practicing at the Centennial Park in Rapid City.

We also have been partnering with Rushmore Jujitsu beginning in January 2026. Jeff Bauer Sensei (the current owner of Rushmore Jujitsu) graciously let us share Aikido with their Jujitsu students.
